TWO men have appeared in court charged with firearms offences, after an incident in Darwen on Sunday night when a revolver was allegedly brandished out of a taxi window.
Adrian Peter Doulton, 24, of Anchor Avenue, Darwen and Jack Costello, 30, of Hartwood Avenue, Fallowfield, Manchester, were charged with possession of a silver handgun with intent to cause Victoria Davies, John Lingard and Craig Banks to believe that violence would be used against them.
Costello was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court and Dutton was sent on bail with conditions that he lives at an address in Stockport, does not enter Blackburn with Darwen and reports to the police every day.
The incident is alleged to have taken place outside Bailey's Bar.
