CHRISTIANS from 20 Leigh churches will join believers around the globe to celebrate the World Day of Prayer Movement's annual day of devotion.
The congregations, who work and pray together, will take part in a unity service on Friday, March 5, at 7.30pm in the Sacred Heart Church, Walmesley Road, Leigh, when the Rev Jan Harney, of Christ Church, Pennington, will give the address. Singers are welcome to join the united choir which will practise on Monday, March 1, at 7.30pm at Sacred Heart.
This year's service has been composed by the Christians of Panama and will be celebrated by people of all ages and from many different backgrounds in more than 180 countries.
