DRAMA Queen Kirsty Atherton and Hag Folders can take a bow.
When Kirsty took up her new post as development officer 13 weeks ago she was challenged to put on a pantomime with just one week of rehearsals - and enthusiastic families helped make it happen.
Now the 22 strong group with theatrical ambitions are looking for new members.
Kirsty, backed by cash from the Single Regeneration Budget, asked residents what they wanted to do and the answer she got back was that they wanted to act.
A hastily-assembled drama group decided to produce their own version of the panto classic "Cinderella" and it was up to Kirsty and SRB5 right-to-learn officer June Winstanley to make it happen.
Kirsty is planning another community play next year, but also hopes to maintain the enthusiasm by helping to found the area's own drama group.
Anyone interested should call her on 01942 893275.
