WHAT was the lady who wanted the pink wedding trying to prove in bringing her story to the newspaper?
As described in your article (LET, February 20) the hotel gave her back the full deposit, which they had no obligation to do at all, yet they did.
Perhaps she was hoping for a free wedding somewhere else?
My daughter married last year and we viewed a lot of hotel venues before choosing the Clarion Suite, which our wedding photos show to be red, last August, not pink.
I certainly do not remember anything in our contract which said the room had to stay the colour it was when we saw it and made the booking.
The whole hotel staff were magnificent and made my daughter's day. Nothing was too much trouble for them and a lot of our guests commented on how the whole hotel experience was one of the best they had ever had at a wedding.
