"OUR workrate was different class, so losing was very disappointing. They didn't really create that many chances in either half," was Radcliffe Boro manager Kevin Glendon's post-match take on his side's 2-1 home defeat to Runcorn

"I think we've defended a lot better just recently and in the last two games we've been beaten by two penalties and two great strikes, it's really, frustrating."

The turning point was Runcorn's penalty equaliser, which in Glendon's mind could have been prevented.

"I said to them at half time, be careful when Kissock is in the box because the first thing he does is dive, but we fell for it.

"We needed a win tonight, which was why I changed things around and brought on Redshaw, if I wanted to keep it at 1-1 I would have kept things as they were.

"But in going for the win we pushed Tony and Richard further forward which stretched us, and created holes at the back.

"I feel sorry for Redshaw, he has quality but it is just a matter of fitting him into the right situation."

Despite losing the last two games, he believes having improved defensively it's now his attacking options that are emerging as a cause for concerm.

"The strikers aren't scoring - Simon Kelly has scored three times in the last two games and he's a centre back - although we've possibly been spoiled by the goal scorers we've had here before," he said.

"It wasn't for a lack of effort. Fozzy worked his socks off and Josh did quite well, he put a great cross in for Simon Carden who should have scored, in fact he hasn't scored for while, so it's not just the forwards."
