JANET Brennan was so deeply touched when she attended a benefit dinner for cancer sufferers that she had her hair shaved off to raise money for a teenage cancer trust.
Janet, of Brownedge Road, Blackburn had her locks trimmed outside Outfit clothing, Preston where she works.
Customers were encouraged to give a pound for a snip of Janet's hair before it was finally trimmed off by Paul Strahan from Dimensions hair dressers, Blackburn.
All the proceeds went to The Laura Crane Trust, a charity that supports young people living with cancer. The charity was named after Laura Crane who died of cancer as a teenager and her mother Jackie Roeder attended the event.
Janet said: "I'm quite pleased with it. Everybody says I suit it and should start off a new trend."
