AN INQUEST into the death of a pensioner who died following a fall has been opened and adjourned.
Colin Firth, of Brookfield Way, Earby, was found at his home in the early hours of last Saturday morning.
The inquest opening heard the 79-year-old had suffered a fall in January and been treated at Airedale Hospital, but had been discharged.
He later began complaining of dizzy spells.
A post mortem examination showed Mr Firth died as the result of a head injury.
The full inquest was adjourned pending further inquiries into the fall, and the treatment at hospital.
