PLANS to renovate an old chapel to create a new community hall for a Ribble Valley village are to be unveiled to the public.
Slaidburn is set for a new hall in the village's former Methodist chapel which held its final service in 1999.
The plans for the new hall are to be displayed at a Past, Present and Future Exhibition on Saturday, March 6.
The event is being hosted by The Slaidburn Property Trust, the charity hoping to provide a replacement village hall for the community.
Planners hope the restoration will retain the 19th Century chapel's heritage while offering a flexible venue for the community's needs.
The plans are supported by English Heritage and will provide a venue for new community activities.
There will be improved facilities for young people as well as a focus on learning, IT, drama and the elderly.
Visitors to the exhibition are being encouraged to pass on their comments to the Trust.
John Parry, chairman of Slaidburn Property Trust, said: "We have worked really hard to incorporate everybody's wishes in the development and we feel we really have achieved the best of both worlds with these plans."
The exhibition takes place from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, March 6 at Slaidburn Chapel.
