A DARWEN woman is the proud owner of a new bathroom thanks to a BBC television show.
Marion Cimen, 45, appealed to the makers of 'DIY SOS' for help with her bathroom. She had to wait while the public decided in a phone-in whether she was worthy of the makeover.
It was revealed on Thursday night that she had won.
Marion, of Blackburn Road, said: "It's lovely and really warm! The old one was so draughty and the colour scheme is now my colours, and I can't fault it.
"I really didn't think I had won. I wasn't sure even when they phoned up, and said, 'Marion, we've got something to tell you'."
The 'DIY SOS' team left Marion's original bath and added a new sink, gold coloured taps, a toilet, new flooring and new skirting boards, and replaced the windows.
Marion added: "I phoned up the administration team who work behind the scenes, and they said it was the first time anybody had done that since the show started."
