BLACKBURN Hawks face a challenging, but fun, weekend with back to back friendlies home and away.
First up, tonight, the Hawks are in Scotland for a return match with Camperdown Stars, before returning to base for a re-arranged challenge against old rivals Kingston Jets at the Arena tomorrow.
Hawks' player-coach Bobby Haig admitted; "It's been a long, hard season and we still have the play-offs to look forward to.
"These games will take the pressure off for a while. Of course we want to win, but it gives us chance to have a bit of fun and to blood a few youngsters."
Stalwarts Chris Black, and Peter tapp are sidelined with injury.
Wes Barnett is suspended for tonight's 'international' but expected to return tomorrow.
"I'm looking forward to going up to Dundee, I used to play there and I still have lots of friends in the area," added Haig.
"Not to mention, they beat us 6-4 in Blackburn a few weeks ago, so I'm looking for revenge."
Tomorrow's game replaces the final English Cup group match with Billingham which has been cancelled. The Tee-siders have withdrawn from the competition and the Hawks have hastily plugged the gap in the calendar with the Jets' challenge.
"I intend to bring some under 16s into the squad, but we will have a strong side out, I'm aiming to win," said Haig.
Tonight's match in Dundee faces-off at 7.30pm.
Meanwhile, the Arena doors open at 5.15 pm and the game has the normal face-off time of 6pm.
