A DISABLED Darwen woman was hoping to start a voluntary taxi service to help people caught up in the long-running ambulance drivers' dispute, get home from hospital.
Miriam Grear of Tudor Close appealed to taxi drivers and private car owners to spare an hour of their time to take the ill or elderly home from their stay in hospital.
