THERE will be another chance to find out more about new legislation that will open up thousands of acres of countryside in Lancashire.
When the new legislation takes effect at the end of September it will give people the 'right to roam' on moorland in the Forest of Bowland and East Lancashire which are currently out of bounds.
The latest Open Access roadshow will be held at Downham Village Hall on March 14 between 10am and noon.
The public will have new rights of access on foot for open-air recreation on access land - which in Lancashire will mean that there will be new access to around 40,000 hectares of moorland and common land - one hectare is a bit more than a full size football pitch.
The roadshows are open to everyone. So whether you are a walker looking for new opportunities to explore Lancashire's countryside or a farmer wondering what it will mean for you please come along and find out.
