PLANS to build an office block and 15 houses in Rawtenstall look set to be approved by Rossendale Council.
The site, close to the town centre in Millgate Road, was previously occupied by Higher Mill and currently has a number of derelict buildings on it.
Borough planning officers have recommended that the plans be approved.
In a report to members of the council's development control committee, who will discuss the proposals at a meeting tomorrow, planners state that the site has been earmarked for an office development.
They also state that the new development would improve what is currently a run-down site with derelict buildings on it.
