PNE are still riding high at the top of the league after fighting back from a goal down.
Bury took a surprise lead on 20 minutes but three minutes later Michaela Barlow equalised converting a cross from Dawn Holland.
PNE battled for a second and Jen Simmonds had a shot cleared off the line while Mel Martin's shot on 44 mins was tipped over the bar
Barlow finally put PNE into the lead with a low drive into the far corner of the net. Despite having 90 per cent of the possession and plenty of goalmouth action, PNE couldn't penetrate the Bury defence, and against the run of play, Bury equalized on 80 minutes.
PNE were awarded a penalty for hand ball on 90 minutes and captain Sarah Berry tucked the ball away for the winner.
PNE play Bolton on Sunday at Bamber Bridge FC, Irongate at 11am.
