A CAPTAIN'S daughter in love with a lowly seaman?
Such a scenario means the course of true love certainly isn't going to run smoothly - especially out on the open sea.
But in Buddies' Youth Theatre's HMS Pinafore there are plenty of toe-tapping tunes to help the romance of sailor Ralph and high-ranking Josephine on its way.
Buddies, the youth section of Accrington Theatre Group, scored a recent success with their production of Oklahoma, which has now been nominated to represent the region for Best Youth Production in the NODA North West awards in May.
This year they've turned their attentions to Gilbert and Sullivan and will perform HMS Pinafore at the Civic Theatre, Oswaldtwistle, from Wednesday to Saturday, March 24 to 27.
