BURY SENIOR SECTION
THERE was good news this week when the fracture pipe from the Coffin Lodge was finally repaired.
The pipe had been damaged when laying electric cables to the building site several months ago.
This had caused levels in the lodge to fluctuate and water had to be diverted from the stream via a sluice.
On Monday the annual presentation evening of the Bury Society was held at Elton Liberal Club.
Members enjoyed an excellent buffet and 20 senior trophies and six junior ones were presented.
Junior member Jonathan Bullough won three of the junior prizes, the Junior Trophy, Cookes Junior Trophy and the Hart Trophy, Sean Monk the Gill Trophy and Ian Gough the Frank Booth Trophy.
Next club match, the Adcock Cup, will be held on Island Lodge on Sunday, April 18.
