ACCRINGTON residents were up in arms at a decision to axe a hospital's facilities.

More than 200 people turned up at a meeting to protest about cutbacks to Accrington Victoria Hospital.

Campaigners said they planned to enlist the help of local teachers and businessmen in their fight.
