REVOLUTIONARY computer technology has helped create the borough's first ever on-line Virtual Trade Exhibition which was officially launched on Monday (March 29).

And three local companies have been given a global shop window to highlight their products and services to thousands of potential clients.

Now, Internet users all over the world can log on to the innovative 3D interactive web site which harnesses the latest in ICT developments.

The hi-tech, state-of-the-art web site has been launched by the Bury Council-backed Bury Business Network and is being hailed as a prime promotional tool for the borough and the technology used in the wider commercial environment.

Visitors to Bury Virtual Exhibition (VREX) web site, www.buryvrex.com, can access products and services information relating to Prestwich-based JB-Eye Fire and Security as well as Plus Polymers of Radcliffe and Pilsworth company Harwill Engineering.

Bury mayor Councillor Wilf Davison attended a Virtual Trade Exhibition on Monday at the Bolholt Country Park Hotel.
