BRIAN Jensen took the brunt of the blame for Burnley's five-goal mauling at the hands of league leaders Norwich.
Fed-up Clarets chief Stan Ternent pointed the finger of guilt squarely at the Dane for four of City's five strikes.
But he also insisted some of his outfield players contributed to the downfall by hiding behind Jensen's mistakes.
Ternent said: "I'm not happy because we were in front three times and yet we lost the match.
"My goalkeeper was a hero last week and he's a villain this week. He cost us four goals and I'm sure he will stand up and be counted for that.
"But that knocks the wind out of your sails and knocks the stuffing out of you.
"We were in the ascendancy after going a goal up and then he goes and throws one in. We get another and then straight away, another one goes in.
"It was quite incredible and that isn't anywhere near good enough from Brian.
"Last week he was sensational. This week he was the exact opposite, but I also think one or two of my players hid behind that and I've told them so.
"Norwich never scored a goal and never created one all day - we just gave them all five.
"Nobody ever does that to us."
Ternent admitted the Turf Moor clash was a true game of two halves. Three times in the first 45 minutes, Burnley grabbed the lead through Neil Wood, David May and Robbie Blake's 21st goal of the campaign - a remarkable return in a struggling side.
But Matt Svensson and Darren Huckerby kept City in the hunt before the Canaries cemented their position as promotion certainties with a three goal blast after the interval.
Ternent said: "The first half was fantastic and we played really well. The second half - rubbish!
"We scored some good goals, but the second half was just unacceptable. I thought Lee Roche handled Huckerby quite well and overall we only have ourselves to blame for losing the match.
"When you score three goals at home you would always expect to get something out of it, but not this year, I'm afraid."
Burnley suffered a pre-match blow when Dele Adebola was struck off the substitutes list through a stomach strain picked up during the warm-up.
But Ternent insisted his side would recover from their latest own latest strain to pick up the three victories he believes will ensure First Division survival.
He added: "I have to grin and bear it. We still need to win three games out of seven - and we will.
"The biggest game of the season will probably be Derby County (at home). But we will get three wins anyway, although we will have to do better defensively. We are capable of getting them, but I am just so frustrated with it all.
"I'm a bit flat and people often ask the question 'who picks the players up?
"I would ask: 'who picks the manager up?'"
