COMPUTER expert Shafiq Khan will be needing some 'software' for his feet in preparation for taking on the London marathon.
Shafiq, 29, who works at the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, is in training to run the London Marathon on April 18.
Shafiq, lives with his wife Tabassum in Shear Brow, Blackburn. He is hoping to raise £1,500 for the Sense charity which helps children who are deaf and blind.
The former Billinge High School and Blackburn College student has tackled a number of half-marathons but the world famous race in the capital will be his first full event.
He said: "I was approached by Sense and offered a place if I raised funds which was a great opportunity."
Anyone interested in sponsoring Shafiq can call him on 01254 356437.
