LEISURE lovers are being invited to step aboard a trip to the hills and dales of north Lancashire, North Yorkshire and Cumbria.
The DalesRail service, the easiest way to visit the Settle-Carlisle corridor, returns on Sunday - complete with guided walks, bus links and some discounted fares.
The scenic train journey gives people a great opportunity to see the best of the Dales and Eden Valley countryside.
The 2004 service runs from Sunday to May 2, then every Sunday from May 23 until October 17. It is a good value-for-money service, two to four fares available from £12 - valid for two adults travelling together and can be accompanied by up to two children.
The First North Western service leaves Blackpool at 08.35, and calls at Preston, Blackburn and Clitheroe, through to Carlisle via the Settle-Carlisle line.
Train Times for April 11 and May 2 are: Preston 0901; Lostock Hall 0916; Bamber Bridge 0919; Blackburn 0931; Ramsgreave and Wilpshire 0937;
Langho 0942; Whalley 0947; Clitheroe 0954.
