A 20-year-old man accused of breaking into a house with intent to attack someone inside appeared for the first time at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday.
Shane Donnelly, of Tamar Grove, Leigh, is charged with burglary at a house in Glover Street, Leigh, on March 9 with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm on an occupant.
Donnelly was remanded on bail until June 7 when he is expected to enter his plea.
