THE funeral of a promising teenage actor who tragically died near his home in Breightmet is to take place on Thursday.
Hundreds of people including fellow pupils from Year 11 at Canon Slade School in Bolton are expected to turn up to say goodbye to 15-year-old Dean Worswick.
A service will be held at St Johns Top O'th Moss, Brodick Drive, Breightmet, at 11.45am followed by interment at Tonge Cemetery at 1pm. His family have asked for any donations to be made to Childline.
Dean, who was a member of Carol Godby's Theatre Workshop in Bury, had made appearances in Coronation Street, Clocking Off, BBC2's Cops and more recently Channel 4's Shameless.
He was due to sit his GCSEs in May and had planned to pursue a career in drama.
The teenager was reported missing by his family from their home in Harpford Close on the morning of his death. He was found several hours later on wasteland off Willand Drive .
His parents Gail and Michael and his 10-year-old brother Lee are devastated by his death which is not being treated as suspicious.
