A MEETING to find out the best way to tackle Hyndburn's litter problems is to be held later this month.
The local authority is planning to hold its next Litter Commission meeting on Thursday, April 22.
The event is designed to keep residents informed and get their views on how best to tackle litter in the area.
While the council has introduced wheelie bins and recycling for residents and is targeting dirty streets and fly-tipping, it wants to prevent as much litter as possible being dumped.
A council spokeswoman said: "Tackling the problem effectively involves the council and residents working together. So everyone is welcome to attend the meeting where there will also be updates on a range of litter issues, including flytipping and the Waste Watching for Schools campaign.
The meeting takes place at the council's Scaitcliffe House offices, Accrington, at 2pm.
