CLITHEROE are gunning to get back in the driving seat.

The Blues were without a game at the weekend and slipped from top spot to third place in the North West Counties Division One table after Woodley Sports beat title rivals Mossley 4-2.

But Clitheroe, who have two games in hand on second place Mossley and are one game behind Woodley, are desperate to make up lost ground when they travel to Nantwich tonight.

Determined Blues manager Lee Sculpher, who has a full squad to choose from, said: "Provided we perform in the next few days we should put ourselves back in a very strong position.

"It will be tough tonight, especially after getting beat by them last week. But if we take any of the numerous chances we created last time then we should be fine.

RAMSBOTTOM hope to have Lee Buggie and Liam Bowden back in the side for tonight's trip to Salford.

The duo were cup tied for the League Challenge Cup semi final against Newcastle Town on Saturday but should be available tonight.
