RESIDENTS in parts of Rossendale are being given a new service launched this month aimed at tackling burning issues in the community.
People living in Ramsbottom and Tottington could have an extra spring in their step when Bury Council unveils the first of its new Council Information Points.
The information points are part of the council's wide-ranging programme to revolutionise the way it communicates with residents.
Ramsbottom and Tottington libraries will be first to get the information points, which will be rolled out over the next few months.
They are designed to improve services, making information and help more accessible and easier to use.
Customers can already make non-cash payments at the two libraries, including paying council tax. Coun Wayne Campbell, Bury Council's executive member for resources, said: "People will be able to pop in to the library and speak to dedicated staff about issues which concern them."
