A STUDENT is planning to visit South Africa to work with young children with AIDS.
And tomorrow night Hannah Stevens, 18, of Durham Road, Wilpshire, is staging a dance night to help fund her trip.
Hannah has applied for a charity placement at the Scotland-based charity organisation, Project Trust, which will send her to South Africa on her gap year before going to university.
Charity officer at Project Trust, Laura Genner, said: "The volunteers are there to be a role model for the kids, they ensure the children have someone to look up to and they provide them with mental and emotional support."
Hannah, who is currently taking her A-level exams at St Wilfrid's College, needs to raise £3,850 towards the charity, which she hopes to raise by holding the dance at the Never Never Land night club, part of Crackers, staring at 8pm.
