PRESTWICH Heys survived a tense finish to beat Radcliffe Amateurs 4-3 in the Hospital Cup on Monday night.
Goals inside the opening half-hour from John Garrick and Derek Watson appeared to have put Heys in control, but Radcliffe scored two in four minutes through Paul Cameron and Richard Stevens to make it 2-2 at the break.
Marcus Dydyna and Jon Lyons seemed to have made the game safe for Heys with second-half goals.
Mark Westhead pulled a goal back for Radcliffe with four minutes left, however, to give Heys an anxious time before they made it through.
