A MAN was taken to hospital with a suspected dislocated shoulder after rolls of carpet backing trapped him against a wall.
Ian Cockrane, was unloading the rolls from a delivery van at Stalwart Commission Carpets, at Primrose Works, Clitheroe, at 11.20am yesterday.
Firefighters were called to the carpet manufacturing business to free the man, who was treated at Blackburn Royal Infirmary and then went home.
Peter Aspinall, managing director at the Clitheroe business, said the man was employed by a Lancaster delivery service and was unloading the delivery when the rolls shifted and pushed him against the wall.
He said: "We are always very concerned when anything like this happens on our premises."
The Health and Safety Executive has been called to investigate the incident.
