LICENCEES from the Tyldesley Pub Watch scheme are celebrating a booze ban!
Pub and club landlords and managers are backing the new ruling which makes it an offence to drink alcohol on the town's streets with a Safe Weekend over Easter.
The pub watch scheme covers Tyldesley's licensed premises and members meet regularly with community PC Vicki Handley and town centre co-ordinator Janis Maleedy to discuss crime and disorder issues.
And over Easter all the town's pubs and clubs will be making sure revellers enjoy themselves in safety.
PC Handley said: "Members welcome the alcohol ban which will assist in providing a safer environment for customers and residents in the town centre."
