BLACKBURN West MP Ralph Assheton called for an urgent review of Government spending. The MP criticised the spending machine in a Commons budget debate and warned the out-of-control Government would lead the the country to collapse.
And Blackburn bishop Dr P M Herbert was set to return to duties after a hernia operation.
