BURNLEY reserves suffered a topsy-turvy game worthy of the first team in the 4-2 home defeat to Huddersfield.
The Clarets found themselves 2-0 down early on, before fighting back to level things up by half-time.
However, the Terriers bit back with two more goals in the second half to take all three Pontins League points.
Town took the lead on 10 minutes when Matthew Young scrambled home a right wing corner.
Five minutes later, it was two as John McAliskey drilled a low shot past Clarets keeper Nathan Abbey.
Burnley grabbed an instant lifeline as Luke Chadwick lobbed home from the edge of the box.
And Chadwick struck again to level things up 10 minutes before half time, turning the ball home at the second attempt.
Burnley pressed for a third in the second half, but it was the visitors who took the lead through defender Paul Scott.
And substitute Tyrone Thompson sealed the win close to the final whistle.
Burnley: Abbey, Pilkington, Scott (Pitham, 81) Townsend, Trotman, Johnrose, Pugh, Davies (Taylor, 57) Chadwick, Shaw (Booth, 57) A Moore. Subs not used: Hale, Carter.
