BACUP BOROUGH ...1
WOODLEY SPORTS ...1
BACUP Borough got a well-earned point against league leaders Woodley Sports.
The high flying visitors had the better of the early exchanges but Bacup goalkeeper David Felgate was more than a match for them.
It was not until the 27th minute before Bacup played the football they are capable of when Telfer, Taylor and Lee Anderson all combined before the ball was deflected over the bar.
Woodley took the lead on 33 minutes when what seemed a nothing ball was played into the area, Felgate had it covered but the ball took a deflection.
But their lead was short-lived when Telfer won a free kick. Captain Steve Stott drilled the ball in to Lee Wilkinson, who controlled it, turned and struck it into the net giving the Woodley keeper no chance.
Cryer made a brave block on the line after Davies conceded a free kick in the second half while Telfer put the ball over the bar in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
