A PRESTWICH pensioner fell victim to carjackers on Wednesday night (April 7).
The 68-year-old man was parking his car in Hilton Lane when a team of armed men, wearing masks, dragged him from the driver's seat before stealing his VW Golf V6 vehicle.
Now police are hunting three men who are believed to be from the Salford area and were armed with knives and screwdrivers. The grey car, registered MF02XZE, is still outstanding.
The carjacking happened at 10.25pm. The motorist was shaken but not physically harmed.
The three offenders were described as about 5ft 8ins, slim, and aged between 18 and 22. They had Salford accents and were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.
They were travelling in a dark coloured BMW 5 series which is believed to have been stolen from the city centre.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information, or any knowledge of whereabouts of the stolen vehicle, is asked to contact Bury Robbery Unit on 856 8093 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
