STAN Ternent is urging his Burnley players to finally banish all relegation fears this Easter.
The Clarets are primed for a nervy trip to Walsall tomorrow before hosting fellow strugglers Watford at Turf Moor on Monday.
And Ternent knows a maximum six-point haul would almost certainly ensure the Clarets' First Division survival with several weeks to spare.
The Burnley boss said: "What happens this Easter is crucial for all the teams because it says a lot about what happens between now and the end of the season.
"We have two important games and we will be doing our best to win both. We still have seven games to go and perhaps two wins might be enough now, who knows?
"I do know I would like them sooner, rather than than later though. We have four at home and three away, so there's plenty to play for.
"Two more wins may be enough, although I would prefer three. We will get them, one way or another, but it all makes for nail-biting stuff.
"There's never a dull moment with Burnley, but it would be marvellous to be here on Tuesday with another six points behind us.
"That would be smashing."
Ternent, already without suspended defender David May, is also sweating on the fitness of striker Dele Adebola and midfielder Richard Chaplow for the trip to the Bescot Stadium.
But with Watford arriving at Turf Moor just 48 hours later, he insists he will not take a gamble on either player.
Ternent said: "Richard got a kick on his calf, so we will have to wait and see. Dele has had a cortisone injection for his injury (stomach) and if he is not fit for tomorrow, then hopefully Monday.
"But the one thing I won't do is take a chance, so we need to be a little careful.
"There's never a good time to be playing two games in 48 hours, but that's how it is in the holiday period.
"We face two teams in and around us and it's very important that we get something from the weekend.
"Everyone is playing for something, whether that's promotion, relegation or pure pride."
Mark McGregor seems certain to make his first start in four games as May's replacement at centre back.
The dogged defender lost his place in the side in the wake of the 4-0 battering at Coventry last month.
Since then, Burnley have picked up four valuable points on the road at Nottingham Forest and Bradford.
And McGregor has his sights set on returning to help the Clarets achieve rare back-to-back wins on their travels.
he said: "At Forest and Bradford we got the results and Walsall is another game we can build on.
"It would be the first time this season we have picked up two on the trot away from home and there is no better time to do it."
