A REMARKABLE turnaround in form has seen Sedgley Park control the wobble they found themselves in, in mid-January, and get back on track for one of the two promotion spots on offer.

A draw against roses rivals Doncaster on Saturday will be enough to send the Park Lane outfit into National League One next season.

Perhaps the one thing that has got them so far this season is commitment, although back in January it was the one thing they seemed to have lost.

"The last two games the commitment and effort from the boys has been unbelieveable," said player-coach Tim Fourie.

"It's a different team, a different atmosphere at the club right now, which just shows how important confidence is.

"Without it you suffer, with it you can achieve anything.

"We lost three out of five games in January and confidence seemed to disappear.

"There were a few harsh words spoken but people were allowed to start again with a clean slate and it seems to have worked.

"Since then we've been working hard to build the intensity back up and I think it has worked, the confidence has returned and the commitment is there for all to see."

He is looking forward to tomorrow, although there is one thing that concerns him, the whistle blower.

"It made a big difference at Harrogate having a good referee in Steve Lander, who is test calibre and you can't get better than that.

"But if I'm not mistaken, I think this Saturday we have the guy that reffed us down in Lydney and over in Wharfedale, and that concerns me."

The only other negative on the horizon is the doubt over powerful centre, Ian Voortman, with the robust South African nursing a bruised sternum.

If he is not available, Fourie is likely to switch fullback Arno de Jager to centre, move wing Chris Glynn to fullback and bring back Jim Naylor on the wing

The Tigers face a Doncaster side coached by former Wales international Kingsley Jones, who has a formidable squad at his disposal.

But Fourie is confident his side can get at least the one point needed to begin the promotion celebrations.

"I don't want to tempt fate, but I think we can get the job done this weekend, I really think we can."
