A WOODLAND burial site in Barrowford is to be officially opened in a ceremony led by the Mayor of Pendle, Coun Mohammed Iqbal, later this month.
The Jo Belbin Memorial Woodland has been named after Coun Jo Belbin, who died in February last year and who was the first person to be buried there.
It will be opened on April 20.
It has been suggested that the site should have an informal layout and mature species of trees should be planted to establish the burial area.
An information leaflet about the burial site is available to the public.
