HUNDREDS of people, and their canine companions, had a 'Good' Friday as they made the annual pilgrimage to Holcombe Hill.
Early morning visitors enjoyed clear blue skies and bright sunshine while late arrivals were shrouded in mist and light drizzle.
However, the afternoon weather failed to dampen anyone's spirits as they walked the winding path up Holcombe Hill to Peel Tower. The more adventurous took the direct route up the steep heather-covered slopes. A number of children brought carefully decorated eggs for the traditional egg-rolling games. Picnics were in abundance and long queues formed at the ice-cream vans.
