A MAN with more than 100 convictions to his name at the age of 20 may escape another jail term despite striking again.
Burnley Magistrates heard how jobless Michael David Dwyer went shoplifting in Colne Asda and got behind the wheel while banned.
The defendant, who has been to youth custody several times, admitted theft of goods worth £35, driving while disqualified and no insurance, and was bailed until May 5, for a pre-sentence report.
Dwyer, from Colne, but now living with his grandmother in Leeds, was warned custody was still an option and he was being given bail as a last chance.
The court was told Dwyer, who stole Jack Daniels whisky and was captured on CCTV, had previous convictions for going equipped for theft, going equipped, harassment and disqualified driving. He had 102 offences behind him.
