BURNLEY Youths continued their recent good form with a deserved 1-0 win at Wrexham at the weekend.
Joe Booth rifled home the only goal of the game from 25 yards to leave manager Terry Pashley delighted.
The youth team coach said: "It was another encouraging performance and I can really see an improvement now from earlier in the season.
"We are defending much better and carrying a real threat at the other end, as Joe's goal proved on Saturday.
"We only got the one goal, but in the second half especially we could have had another three or four.
"But a win is the main thing and I told the lads after the game that this is the sort of step-up I was looking for.
"The remaining league games are important, but we have one big game coming up now in the Lancashire FA Youth Cup final."
That game will be played on Monday, April 26 and Burnley youth team entertain Darlington in their next league game at Gawthorpe on Saturday, April 17 (12pm KO).
