IT'S not a typical setting for a romantic tale, but locations in Blackburn are being used to shoot a love story feature film that will be released in the cinemas next year.
Camera crews from Northern Souls Films Limited, a company which has set up a production office at Glenfield Business Park, have been working in and around the town throughout March and April for the movie titled Northern Souls.
The film is a love story set in a Northern town which has "echoes of Romeo and Juliet."
It is being directed by Bafta nominated Dominic Savage, whose last film Out of Control won Best Film at the Edinburgh film festival last year. His improvised BBC one drama The Young Offenders also won a Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film.
The film is being co-funded by the British Film Council and BBC Films.
Members of the public have also been asked to take part in the filming as extras.
