A PATIENT at mental health unit attacked a nurse after being told that his visiting rights were being revoked.
Blackburn magistrates heard that John Chester lunged at Sarah Holden at Queens Park Hospital, Blackburn, bruising her neck.
Chester, 29, pleaded guilty to assault. He was given a conditional discharge for two years after the court heard he was made subject to a hospital order on March 5.
Michael Singleton, defending, said the order was made after Chester was diagnosed as suffering from drug-induced psychosis.
"He will remain in Queens Park Hospital until the psychiatrist is satisfied he is no longer suffering from that disorder," said Mr Singleton.
