IN reply to Mrs Robinson's letter dated April 7, I would like to put it to her that the reason churches are empty today is that they need to dramatically change their outlook on the human situation, as does Mrs Robinson herself.
Is it not a fantastic thing that two people want to make a lifelong commitment to each other?
What difference does their sexual orientation make to anybody but themselves?
As for the cry of 'disgusting' from Mrs Robinson, the only thing that disgusts me is the fact that people like her still exist.
I would like my children to grow up in a world of tolerance and harmony.
Have a strong cup of strong, sweet tea Mrs Robinson, and get in touch with the modern world!
CHARLOTTE GARNETT (Mrs, heterosexual mother-of-three), St Bedes Park, Darwen.
