I HAVE just read the letter (LET, April 7) regarding the abysmal bus service on the No 4 route and agree with every word.
I too use this so-called service along with many other people. I often see three buses go up to the top of Highercroft one after another and also wait 35 minutes or more for one to come back.
I too have complained by telephone only to be fobbed off with such excuses as traffic lights, which do not exist anywhere, on the upward journey to Highercroft after the Asda ones.
And to add insult to injury, we have to wait on Park Lee Road which has no shelter at all and whilst standing there, after three have gone up in convoy you can see at least one bus come straight down Manxman Road and along Sunnybank Road missing the stops on the route they are supposed to take.
No doubt this will make them seem to be on time when they arrive in Blackburn town centre. But to call this a bus service is taking the bounds of credibility too far.
