THERE were be a few aches and pains when a father and daughter arrived at a relative's house in Hindsford.
For David Swanton and 13-year-old Shellie made the 200 mile long journey from their home in Norwich to Mr Swanton's mother's house...on foot.
Once when Shellie asked her dad how long it would take to walk to her grandmother's -- her dad estimated it would be around two weeks.
But little did Mr Swanton know was that his words would come back to haunt him -- and two weeks ago he put on a new pair of walking boots and left his home on Winners Walk to set off with Shellie on the gruelling journey.
The walk had been well planned, with Shellie and Mr Swanton stopping at bed and breakfast accommodation on the way up.
The walk is being carried out in aid of charity Tree of Hope, for children with illnesses that need specialist medical treatment.
Mr Swanton's mother, Elsie, said that she is so proud of her son and granddaughter. She said: "I think it's brilliant that they are walking all this way for charity."
