A CHARITY will receive a £500 boost thanks to fundraisers at a Radcliffe firm.
Staff at Remploy, on Eton Hill Road, were spurred on to raise the money for North Manchester's Muscular Dystrophy campaign, by colleague John Szeputi, who has the muscle-wasting disease.
The team held raffles, sports evenings and quiz nights to help raise the cash, and Mr Szeputi was proud to hand over the cheque to charity representative Charles Horton during a special ceremony at the Radcliffe centre.
Mr Szeputi said: "Through the generosity and enthusiasm of my colleagues, we have been able to achieve a target much higher that we originally anticipated."
