AMA-award winners Metz & Trix will play alongside other big urban names this May Day in Manchester - on a free outdoor stage.
Love Music Hate Racism and Unite have teamed up with electronic music festival Futuresonic to present a free live music event in the city's Exchange Square from 6pm-9pm.
Also playing are Dizzee Rascall stable-mate Wiley, former N.A.S.T.Y. MC D Double E, and local heroes Virus Syndicate.
Drew Hemment, Director of Futuresonic, said: "This event celebrates the new cutting edge in urban music.
"Futuresonic was established in 1995 to showcase the many forms of electronic music that have developed since 1970s Jamaican dub, from electronica to grime.
"Love Music Hate Racism and Unite are presenting a world class lineup as a part of Futuresonic04 that highlights he vibrant, diverse and creative traditions that the festival seeks to support."
Metz said: "We are really pleased to be playing as part of this exciting line up at what will be a major event".
The Futuresonic urban showcase forms part of Manchester Music Live - a city council event to coincide with Radio 1 Music Live.
Futuresonic runs from 27 April until 8 May in association with Urbis, and features over 50 electronic music and media art events, including satellite jamming, virtual soundscapes and club nights and live music to celebrate 25 years of the Technics MK1200 deck.
This year's festival follows on from the Migrations events that Futuresonic staged in 2002-3, which culminated in exhibitions in Oldham, Germany and Bangladesh.
