STAND Cricket Club will be hoping for a more successful Central Lancashire Cricket season this year, after landing former Radcliffe bowler Eddie Shah.
Stand are hoping that Radcliffe's loss wil be their gain.
Shah took 80 wickets for Radcliffe last season and was instrumental to their second-placed finish and he will be joined by the returning professional John Seedle.
Seedle has played for Stand previously, and helped the club to fourth and fifth positions in the table with his crucial runs and wicket-taking capabilities.
Paul Wilkinson continues as skipper in the absence of Martin Hegg, who has commitments in New Zealand currently.
Spinner Mike Yewell has also signed for the club to bolster the bowling attack and provide a sprinkling of hope for the Stand faithful.
