COMPANIES and groups in Bury who encourage disabled people to realise their potential in the workplace could be in line for an award.
Entries are being invited to recognise firms or organisations which "lead the way" in the employment of people with disabilities.
The Remploy Leading the Way awards are in their eighth year, and the regional winners of small, medium and large business categories go forward to a grand final in October this year.
Mr Alan Pedder, chairman of Remploy, which has a factory in Radcliffe, said: "The awards embrace the Government's agenda to promote equal rights for disabled people in society through employment.
"Those that enter show all employers the way forward. They prove that opening career opportunities to disabled people is easy and cost effective, and benefits the whole organisation."
