AN investigation launched after an elderly resident was injured at a Radcliffe nursing home is over.
The three suspended care staff members from Rose Court in Water Street have been reinstated at the home, following the investigation by the National Care Standards Commission, an independent regulatory body.
An anonymous telephone call to the Bury Times from a member of the public, linked the suspensions to an incident in March when an elderly resident allegedly fell in her room and was put back to bed by staff.
But days later it was discovered that the resident, thought to be a woman, had fractured her hip and was taken to Fairfield Hospital, where she has since undergone surgery.
A representative from Highfield Care, which owns Rose Court, said: "The investigation has now concluded. The three staff suspended in connection with the incident have been reinstated, and Highfield Care are happy that the action was appropriate.
"Two other members of staff suspended at the same time are not linked with this incident and the investigation concerning them is continuing."
